Friendly Fire

I was sitting at the bus stop this morning when I noticed the chair next to me was on fire.

We had a lovely conversation, me and the fire. We talked about the need oxygen, the confusion of being a chemical process capable of sentience, and the color orange.

The fire had a lot of interesting things to say about the color orange. I am glad I took those Fire lessons in high school language class.

And I'm glad I convinced the transport authority guy to let me transfer the fire to a torch before he took a fire extinguisher to the chair.
