You know, a goldfish will keep growing its entire life. And, if the goldfish does the right thing, that could be a very long life.

I took a tour boat out this weekend to the Gold Continent. It's not really a continent -- it's actually only a little bigger than the biggest island of Hawai'i - but it's gold. It's a single goldfish, thirty-seven thousand years old. It eats all other goldfish, but is otherwise peaceful. It can only eat other goldfish. There's lichens between its scales that are extinct everywhere else.

It moves slowly and sluggishly.

There's a restaurant on its back, which only serves food that would have been available thirty-seven thousand years ago. The gingko salad is wonderful.

But the weather was terrible.
