Well, his brother (who is still unpixellated) is the one in trouble. He's not a traceur; he used to be in a band. A big famous band - you'd know the name if I told you, but he's in big legal trouble so I won't. He's retired now. We had lunch yesterday.
"We've got a big problem. We didn't mean for it to happen," he told me glumly.
"Well, you know [the band] broke up a few years back, but we still hang out. We were just having a friendly jam session, and then we had an idea. We recorded a song, and it's better than any of our previous songs."
"Oh no," I said.
"Yeah. We did a Best Of album before we broke up, and now we have a better song that's not on it. We're keeping it a big secret right now. It's a shame, but if our record company finds out, we're toast! That Best Of album was an explicit promise not to make anything better, and we just broke that promise. We didn't even do it on purpose. Sometimes inspiration comes when you need it least."
Can anyone help?
